Smallholder Farmers Embrace Drone Technology for Crop Monitoring
Ugandan smallholder farmers are adopting drone technology to improve crop yields and reduce losses.
In a pilot program launched in the central region, over 200 smallholder farmers have started using drones to monitor crop health and soil conditions. Early results indicate a 15% increase in yield due to more precise application of inputs. The Ministry of Agriculture plans to expand the program nationwide by the end of 2025.
